Children’s Football sessions for 5 to 7 year olds

Key Stage 1 football training sessions for children aged 5-7 years of age

Let your child socialise through our sessions

What do our sessions offer?

Our children’s football sessions for 5 to 7 year olds follow our ‘key stage 1’ programme

Children’s football sessions for 5 to 7 year olds is designed to allow children the opportunity to refine movements skills, be introduced to technical football skills and have social interactions.

By engaging in these session our children refine their fundamental movement skills, start to develop technical football skills and begin to socially interact with other children.

The sessions are fun with a playful environment that is active with all children getting involved in playing football.

This group also benefits from an annual curriculum that focuses on different areas of football in order to introduce the children to the game and teach them the basics of football

Our sessions introduce children to football skills and continue to develop their fundamental movement skills

We focus on fundamental movement skills, (FMS) Which are the basic movements traditionally associated with human physical activity. The most common FMS include skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, skipping, and hopping. They also focus on Stability, Object control and Locomotion (movements).

These football sessions follow our bespoke curriculum for 5-7 year olds

Each month the group will be introduced to a new topic focus on their journey of being introduced to football in order to help them develop the basics of the game

Each session focuses on developing the monthly focus as well as covering the tactical, technical, physical and social elements of football. Particularly at this age group social areas are a key focus to allow our participant’s to mix and have fun with friends.

Each of our sessions aim to achieve a set of session objectives aimed to achieve the curriculum focus

Each individual in these sessions receive a feedback sheet every month to notify them of their strengths and where they can improve to provide an excellent development experience

Here friendship bonds being developed. It is great to see both Boys and Girls joining in and doing their best to score a goal while at the same time it is an early stage for the children to work on developing co-ordination and technique.

Nick works extremely hard at creating the right environment for children to be comfortable and feel involved in the football session, whatever their levels of ability.

As this is a natural progression from our 2-4 Toddler group, we continue to build on fundamental movement skills, (FMS). The basic movements traditionally associated with human physical activity such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, skipping, and hopping.
